What is Seasoning?
Seasoning is the
process of allowing oil to be absorbed into the iron of your new
Chicken Rocket, creating a non-stick, rustproof finish. Here’s how to
do it:
On
the Grill
1. Wash
with hot, soapy water and a stiff brush. Rinse and dry
completely.
2.
Oil your Chicken Rocket
(inside and out) with solid vegetable shorting.
3. Place
upside down on the rack of a 350°F pre-heated grill.
4. Bake
your Chicken Rocket for one hour
at
350°F.
5. Let
your Chicken Rocket cool down slowly
on the grill.
6. Once
completely cool, your Chicken Rocket is ready to cook with or store
away uncovered in a dry place.
In
the Oven
1. Wash
with hot, soapy water and a stiff brush. Rinse and dry completely.
2. Oil
your Chicken Rocket (inside and out) with solid vegetable shorting.
3. Turn
the Chicken Rocket upside down on a cooking pan, to catch excess
drippings, and place on the rack of a 350°F pre-heated oven.
4. Bake
your Chicken Rocket for one hour at 350°F.
5. Let
your Chicken Rocket cool down slowly in the oven.
6. Once
completely cool, your Chicken Rocket is ready to cook with or store
away uncovered in a dry place.
Cooking with your new
Chicken Rocket on the Grill
Once your Chicken
Rocket is seasoned, it is now ready for use.
1.
Simply fill the cylinder of the Chicken Rocket half full with your
favorite beer or marinade.
2. Place
whole chicken on to Chicken Rocket insert the cylinder into the
cavity of the chicken.
3.
Place Chicken Rocket with
mounted chicken in the center of hot grill.
4. Cook
until done.

Note: The Chicken
Rocket will work excellent in your standard oven when place on the
bottom rack.
Always use a
broiler pan or a deep sheet pan to catch excess drippings
